Irontown Homes Building a Village in Colorado

With breathtaking 360-degree mountain views, the secluded resort neighborhood of Engineer Village located at Durango Mountain Resort north of Durango, Colo. will be welcoming multiple modular cabins.

Irontown Homes, with its factory located in Spanish Fork, Utah, is midway through construction on the first of many upscale modular cabins that will be set in the peaceful mountain neighborhood in the San Juan National Forest.

Each cabin will feature high-end amenities with options that include tongue and groove cedar siding, cedar shingles, 22’ ceilings a spacious loft and a full walkout basement. The initial 2,000 sq. ft. cabin is scheduled to arrive in Engineer Village in October.  

The modular cabins will primarily be constructed in Irontown Homes’ factory before being shipped as modules and craned into place on lots in Engineer Village, before they are “stitched” and completed on site.

Irontown Homes’ modular building process will help limit traffic, noise and construction in the quiet neighborhood while overall construction time will make the homes available for occupancy months ahead of a traditional on-site building schedule. Each cabin will be built to meet the design and exceed the building standards in the area.
