Foremost Homes Becomes Citadel Modular Solutions...Huh?

Foremost Homes in Mercersburg, PA recently closed their doors due to lawsuits filed by several companies and the former owner of Foremost, Ralph Michael. Calls to Foremost Homes go unanswered.

Now at least one of the owners of the former Foremost Homes, Dan Gordon, is reopening the factory and naming it Citadel Modular Solutions. Inc. With no website presence, phone number, builder network or homes to build, this company posted a job listing for an office manager.

Interesting, very interesting. Thank you Coach for staying on top of this developing story. Without you, how would this modular industry know what is going on?

Little Bill, you are so correct. It has seems that Coach is the voice of the news in the modular industry. His blog site is the only real source of information for modular construction.

Keep up the good work Coach!

Sounds a lot like Peter Deputy and Crowne Homes in Indiana. This guy opened a factory screwed a bunch of builders including me then sold out to Schultz homes leaving a lot of builders high and dry and owning a bunch of money Scott

With foremost being shutdown what options do people have that were in foremost area? I'm close to winchester va. If you have any info as to who I could look into it would be appreciated.

Just about any modular home builder could do a great job for you in Winchester but if you are looking specifically for a factory that works directly with the homeowner, you should look at Homes by Keystone in Waynesboro, PA.

They have built a ton of excellent modular homes in the Winchester area over the past 50 years. Good people.

I realize this is an older post, but as a former office employee of Foremost, all I'm going to post is, do an internet search for Dan Gordon "The Wiz Kid".

What about issues with a home built by Foremost. We still have a window leaking. I think we were the last good house to be done! They were having problems when our house was built but I think we were fortunate.

We were one of the last homes out of the factory as they closed. The remaining staff did their best to be sure the home was properly finished on our site. We love our home - which was extensively modified from the standard design.
