Apex Homes Holds Annual Builder Appreciation Day

Home builders from all around the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states recently gathered in Middleburg, PA for Apex Homes annual Builder Appreciation Day on March 22, 2017. With nearly 100 attendees, the event featured informative seminars, hands-on product demonstrations, factory tours and the unveiling of the brand-new Millwood Kitchens Inspiration Center.

The event kicked-off Wednesday morning with group tours of the Apex Homes facility located on 522 in Middleburg. In addition to touring the Apex Homes modular home manufacturing facility, guest were treated to numerous product demonstrations right on the factory floor including a detail explanation and demonstration from Fomo Spray Foam; a close-up look and tour of Millwood Kitchens factory; and the preparation and installation of a walk-in ceramic tile shower with a Kerdi system.

The highlight of the morning tour was the unveiling of the awe-inspiring Millwood Kitchens Inspiration Center. The Inspiration Center, which is located adjacent to the Apex Homes factory is available to both Apex Builders and the general public. It features a wide array of stunning fully furnished kitchen and bath displays along with many of the custom options available when building with Apex Homes.

In addition to the custom cabinetry, some of the options featured in the Inspiration Center include custom trim packages, coffered ceilings, smart home technology, full walk-in tile showers, custom built-in displays and so much more. “The Millwood Inspiration Center is a truly a spectacular show piece,” stated Lynn Kuhns, President of Apex Homes. “The Inspiration Center does a fantastic job of showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that both the Millwood Kitchens and Apex Homes team is capable of providing our customers. I am extremely proud of this facility and of the team that helped make it happen and I am confident the Inspiration Center will be a great resource for our Builders.”

Following the morning session, attendees of the Builder Appreciation day enjoyed the opportunity to speak directly with key Apex Homes suppliers to learn about the latest in building products and materials.  After a lavish lunch buffet, the group was addressed by Apex President Lynn Kuhns, who reflected on the companies 27 years in business and discussed many of the current and upcoming initiatives at Apex Homes.  Kuhns was quick to thank the management and employees at Apex Homes along with the strong network of independent builders for the continued success at Apex Homes.

The day concluded with 3 presentations. The first presentation featured Apex Homes marketing partner, mXtr Automation. Company President Mickey Locey was on hand to showcase the various marketing programs and projects currently underway at Apex Homes including a new company website, updated renderings, a cutting-edge lead generation and follow up program and comprehensive digital marketing initiative. Locey discussed the “builder-oriented” philosophy employed by Apex Homes and the commitment that Apex has made to “helping” the builders in their local market, which was further showcased by the launch of a cutting-edge Co-op Advertising Program.

RESNET HERS Rater, Rick Terry from Eco-Haven Building Systems was also on hand to discuss the latest trends in building energy efficient homes. Terry discussed recent code changes, inspection processes and some of the keys to success when building energy efficient modular homes.

The day concluded with the presentation of Apex Homes builder awards. Apex Homes recognized its top 10 builders from the previous year for excellence in modular construction. This year’s top honors went to Garden State Modular Homes of Lavallette, NJ.
