Just How Important is Texting to Your Sales Success?

Recently I wrote an article, “What do you call a Millennial Sales Team?”, where I learned that texting has almost replaced phone calls and is beginning to be more important to modular factory sales reps and their builders than emails.

There is a downside to this conversion to text however. Response time.

Phone calls can be ignored and sent to Voicemail where is may never see the light of day again. The accepted response time for a business email is one hour while the text usually gets a response in 90 seconds or less.

Not responding promptly or worse, no responding at all can begin to erode a sales rep/builder and/or a builder/customer relationship.

Here are some interesting facts that show why you need to respond to texts in a more timely manner to keep your B2B relationships strong. I found the highlighted ones very interesting.
