No New COVID-19 Regulations from OSHA; YET!

A new publication outlining OSHA’s recommendations, Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19, is now available.

"This guidance is not a standard or regulation, and it creates no new legal obligations. It contains recommendations as well as descriptions of mandatory safety and health standards. The recommendations are advisory in nature, informational in content, and are intended to assist employers in providing a safe and healthful workplace."

However, like a parent trusting their children to do their online school homework, it only takes a couple of times catching them on their smartphone or game console before the parent says ‘enough’ and lays down new homework rules. Look for new COVID-19 regulations for workplaces after businesses and manufacturers begin ignoring these OSHA recommendations.
